We dial it in precisely so the coating hits the exact temperature it needs, without cooking the edges of the glass. Fighting the sag Here is the thing about long tubes: they want to bow. When they get hot, they get soft, and they start to sag under their own weight. To fix that, we use heavy-wall quartz tubing. It’s tougher. We also add reinforced support brackets and specialized end-caps to keep everything dead straight. Plus, we go with high-voltage configurations. It keeps the current manageable and takes a lot of the stress off your wiring. The reality check These units are a direct fit, but there is one thing you need to watch out for. A 3-meter continuous array puts out a lot of heat. If your exhaust fans aren’t up to the task, that heat builds up and can fry your lamp sockets. Just make sure your cooling system can breathe. Once that’s sorted, it’s simple. You wire them up, set your controllers, and you’re done. You get a flat, consistent heat map across the entire sheet. No more patchwork arrays of short lamps.
